CELEBRATE THE HUMAN-ANIMAL BOND — ON STAGE!

More than half of American households share their lives with a pet. Yet when that beloved companion dies, we’re often expected to grieve quietly and alone. No funeral. No bereavement leave. Sometimes, not even acknowledgment that the loss can be profound.

Our Loving Companions, premiering at The Marsh San Francisco October 15–18, followed by The Marsh Berkeley October 22–25, is changing that conversation — with humor, heart, and a whole lot of love.

This 90-minute immersive theater experience celebrates the extraordinary bond between people and their animal companions—the laughter, devotion, ridiculous joy, and, inevitably, the grief. For veterinarians and veterinary teams, it’s a chance to see the human-animal bond we witness every day reflected back in a surprisingly entertaining and moving way. And it’s a terrific experience to recommend to clients who know firsthand just how much a beloved animal can mean.

Come see it yourself — and tell your clients about it! The production is co-produced by SFVMA’s own Alan Stewart and Grief Dialogues, a theater and arts organization dedicated to using storytelling to change the conversation around death, dying, and loss.

Even better: this show gives back. All profits from these productions will directly benefit Bay Area animal nonprofits that provide grants for emergency veterinary care — helping families access the care their animals need when they need it most.
